クウキノウツワ？―空気を包み込むように、かたちを自由に変えられる紙の器です。広げ方や見る角度によってかたちや柄が変化して、平面から立体になる面白さは大人も子どもも楽しめます。デザイナーや企業とともに様々な試みで紙の可能性を追求し、ユニークな紙製品を発表している福永紙工さん。意外性と愉しさに魅かれて、ギメルもオリジナルの「空気の器」をつくってもらいました。

Air Vase

Have you heard of “Air Vase”? This is a paper container enfolding air and you can freely change its shape by stretching it into various forms as you like.
Shape of the object and pattern printed on it change depending on the angle of view and everyone can easily enjoy creating a 3D object from a flat paper disc.

Fukunaga Print (Tokyo), a paper company producing this, has explored the possibilities of paper and released unique products. We also had fun playing with their products and we would like to see how it goes if it is combined with our jewelry, so we had them make Gimel’s original air vase.
