秋の恒例行事となった干し柿づくりがスタートしました。皮剥きから箱詰めまで、お配りする方達の喜んで下さるお顔を思い浮かべながら準備を進めるのもこの季節の楽しみの一つです。アトリエを囲む山々は日毎に色づいて、気温が下がった今週は更に紅葉が色鮮やかになりそうです。

世界は去年より更に気候変動だけでなく、テロや紛争などによってより多くの方々が苦難を強いられています。移りゆく自然を愛で、季節の美味を楽しむ事の出来る私達はその事に感謝をすると共に何が出来るかを真剣に考えなければいけないと思います。そして何より１日も早く平和が訪れますよう心から願っています。

We have started making dried persimmons which has become our annual autumn event. One of the joys of this season is to prepare from peeling to packaging while imagining happy faces of our friends. The Gimel’s mountains are changing color every day, and the autumn leaves will be even more colorful this week as the temperature has dropped.

More people in the world are being forced to suffer not only from climate change but also from terrorism and conflict. We, those who can admire the changing nature and enjoy the deliciousness of the seasons should be grateful for blessings and must seriously think about what we can do. May a more peaceful future come soon.
